Corrections, data questions, partnership ideas: we read everything.
The fastest way to reach us is email: [email protected]
One address handles everything: price corrections, licensing, advertising, and press. Putting the topic in the subject line gets your message to the right place faster. The sections below cover what to include so we can act on it without a round trip.
Response time: usually within 2 business days.
Report a price that looks wrong
This is the most useful message you can send us. Used auto parts prices move, listings expire, and sellers describe the same component in a dozen different ways. Reader reports are how we catch what our filters miss.
Include four things: the part (as specific as you can; “3.5L V6 engine assembly” beats “engine”), the vehicle make and model, the year or year range, and a link to a listing that contradicts the figure you saw. If the price you were quoted came from a salvage yard or pick-and-pull rather than an online listing, tell us the region and the condition grade you were offered instead.
We re-examine the underlying records in the next refresh cycle and, where the report holds up, the fix lands in the dataset rather than on one page. Before writing, it’s worth checking our pricing methodology and disclaimer first. Some apparent errors are really the difference between asking prices and what parts finally sell for.
Data and licensing enquiries
If you need used OEM parts pricing data beyond normal browsing (a feed, a bulk extract, or permission to use our figures inside a commercial product), write to us rather than scraping the site. We review requests from auto recyclers, dealers, insurers, repair software vendors, and researchers.
Tell us which categories and vehicles you need, how often you need them refreshed, and where the data would end up. Redistribution terms are set out in our terms & conditions.
Advertising and partnerships
We work with businesses serving the used parts market: recyclers, marketplaces, and tooling built for the trade. Include your company, the audience you want to reach, and the format you have in mind.
One thing is not for sale: the numbers. Advertising never changes a published median, adds a seller to the index, or removes a category. That independence is the whole reason the price index is worth reading, and we won’t trade it.
Press and research
Journalists and researchers are welcome to cite our figures with attribution to PartPriceGuide.com and a link to the page the number came from. Please include the date of the figure, since second-hand car parts pricing shifts over time.
For deadline requests, say what you need and when you need it in the subject line and we’ll prioritise it. We can usually comment on how the index is built, what it does and doesn’t measure, and broad trends in used engine and transmission pricing.
Before you write
A few questions come up often enough to answer here. We don’t sell parts, hold inventory, or broker sales, so we can’t source a component for you or connect you with a seller. We can’t appraise a specific part, vehicle, or insurance claim, and we don’t confirm fitment; that has to come from the seller against your part number or VIN.
What we can help with is the data itself. Start with the price pages for current figures, the methodology for how they’re built, our guides for buying advice, and the about page for who we are.
