1. Who we are

PartPriceGuide.com (“we”, “us”) is an independent pricing reference for used OEM auto parts. This policy explains what information is processed when you visit the site and the choices you have.

Our published figures are compiled from publicly visible listing data rather than from anything our visitors tell us. Because the price guide is built entirely from that public listing data, browsing the site requires no personal information from you at all.

2. Information we collect

We do not require accounts, and we do not ask for your name, email address, or payment details to use any part of the site.

Like nearly every website, our servers automatically receive technical information with each request: IP address, browser type and version, device type, referring page, and the pages you visit. This information is used for security, debugging, and aggregate traffic measurement, and is retained only as long as needed for those purposes.

If you choose to email us, for example to report a price that looks wrong or to ask a licensing question, we receive whatever you put in that message, including your email address. We use it only to answer you and to investigate the issue you raised, and we keep the correspondence no longer than is useful for that purpose.

3. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies: a preference cookie to remember your light/dark theme choice, and cookies set by our analytics and advertising partners described below. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; every page of this site remains fully usable without them.

We do not use cookies to track which specific parts or vehicles you look up, and we do not build a browsing history against your identity. Blocking cookies will not hide any pricing data from you or degrade the guides in any way.

4. Analytics

We use aggregate analytics to understand which guides are useful: page views, approximate geography (country/region level), and referral sources. We do not use analytics to build individual profiles, and we do not sell visitor data to anyone.

Regional information matters to us for one editorial reason: used parts supply and pricing genuinely vary by region, so knowing broadly where readers are helps us decide which categories to expand. We work with country- and region-level signals only, never precise location.

5. Advertising

Some pages display advertising served by third-party networks such as Google AdSense. These partners may use cookies or device identifiers to serve ads relevant to your interests and to measure ad performance. Google's use of advertising cookies is described at google.com/policies/technologies/ads, where you can also opt out of personalized advertising. You can additionally opt out of many partners' personalized ads at aboutads.info/choices.

Advertising is what keeps the price guide free to read, but it does not influence the numbers. Advertisers cannot buy a place in our data, adjust a published median, or have a category removed. How the figures are produced is described in full in our methodology.

6. Third-party links

Guides and articles may link to external marketplaces, tools, and resources. Once you leave PartPriceGuide.com, the destination site's own privacy policy applies. We encourage you to review it before providing any personal information.

This matters most when a link takes you to a seller or marketplace where you might create an account, request a quote, or enter payment details. Those transactions happen entirely on the other site, under its terms and its privacy practices. We are not a party to them and never receive the details.

7. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. Technical data may be processed by infrastructure providers (hosting, content delivery) strictly to operate the site, or disclosed if required by law.

Those providers act on our instructions and may only use the data to deliver the service we have engaged them for. We do not share visitor data with the marketplaces, salvage yards, or auto recyclers whose public listings inform our pricing dataset.

8. Data security and retention

We keep the amount of data we hold deliberately small, which is the most effective privacy protection available to a site like ours: information that was never collected cannot be exposed. The site is served over encrypted connections, and access to server logs is limited to site operation and security review.

Technical logs are retained only as long as they remain useful for debugging, abuse prevention, and aggregate traffic measurement, and are then discarded. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we can and do limit what there is to secure.

9. Your choices

You can browse every guide, category, and price page on this site without providing any personal information. Beyond that, you can clear or block cookies in your browser, opt out of personalized advertising through the links in section 5, and use browser or extension-level tracking protection, none of which will restrict your access to the site.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information relating to you. Because we do not operate accounts and hold very little personal data, such requests are usually limited to email correspondence you have sent us. Contact us and we will respond as required by applicable law.

10. Children

The site is a general-audience reference and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version; material changes will be visible on this page.

We recommend reviewing this page occasionally. Continuing to use the site after an update takes effect indicates that you accept the revised policy.
