1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing PartPriceGuide.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

These terms apply to every visitor, whether you are a car owner checking used auto parts prices before a repair, a technician quoting a job, or a salvage yard or auto recycler benchmarking your own inventory. They cover the whole site, including price pages, category guides, articles, and any data or charts published on them.

2. What the site provides

PartPriceGuide.com publishes reference pricing for used OEM auto parts, compiled from publicly observable marketplace listings and summarized statistically (low, median, high, and condition-grade breakdowns). The data is provided for informational purposes only.

In practice that means we show you what second-hand car parts are being advertised for (used engine prices, used transmission cost, body panels, electronics, and the other categories in the index), not what any particular seller will charge you today. We are an independent index. We do not sell parts, hold inventory, broker sales, take commissions on transactions, or act as an agent for any junkyard, pick-and-pull operation, or marketplace.

3. Permitted use

You may use the site and its data for personal or internal business reference: checking a price, quoting a customer, or researching the market. You may link to any page and quote reasonable excerpts with attribution to PartPriceGuide.com.

Attribution means naming PartPriceGuide.com as the source and, where the medium allows, linking to the specific page you drew the figure from. Journalists, researchers, and bloggers are welcome to cite our medians and condition-grade breakdowns on this basis, and we ask that you also note the date of the figure, since salvage yard prices move over time.

4. Prohibited use

You may not scrape, crawl, or bulk-download the site's data; republish substantial portions of the dataset; resell or license the data to third parties; misrepresent the data's origin; or use the site in any way that disrupts its operation. Automated access beyond normal search-engine indexing requires our prior written permission.

You also may not present our figures as appraisals, offers, or firm quotes; use them to imply that we endorse a seller, a listing, or a valuation; or strip attribution from excerpts you republish. Framing entire pages, mirroring the site, or reproducing it under another brand is not permitted.

5. Data licensing and bulk access

If you need more than the site's normal browsing use (a data feed, a bulk extract, or permission to redistribute figures inside a commercial product), that requires a written licence from us. We would rather talk about it than have you scrape the site, and we do review requests from dealers, insurers, recyclers, and software vendors.

Write to [email protected] with what you need and how it would be used. Unlicensed automated collection is a breach of these terms regardless of how it is technically performed.

6. No guarantee of accuracy

Prices are statistical summaries of asking prices at the time of collection, not offers, quotes, appraisals, or guarantees of availability. Markets move, listings expire, and regional supply varies. Always verify current prices with sellers before making decisions.

Source listings are written by sellers, and we depend on what they publish. Part condition grades are seller-reported rather than independently inspected, fitment claims are sometimes wrong, and the same part number can be described several different ways. We filter obvious errors and outliers, but we cannot warrant that any individual figure is correct or current.

7. Reporting an error

If a published figure looks wrong, tell us. Send the part, the vehicle, the year, and a link to a listing that contradicts it, and we will re-examine the underlying records in the next refresh cycle. Corrections that hold up are applied to the dataset rather than patched on a single page.

Reporting an error does not create any obligation on our part to publish a particular figure, and we retain editorial control over what the index shows.

8. Intellectual property

The site's design, text, code, and compiled datasets are our property or licensed to us. Vehicle make and model names are trademarks of their respective owners, used solely for identification.

Individual asking prices observed in public listings are facts and are not claimed as our property. What we do claim is the compilation: the selection, normalization, grouping, and statistical treatment that turns scattered listings into a usable index. That compilation is protected, and section 4 governs its reuse.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The site is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any figure, guide, or article will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your particular vehicle or repair.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the site or reliance on its data, including losses from buying, selling, quoting, or insurance decisions.

This allocation of risk is a condition of providing the site free of charge. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, in which case those provisions apply only to the extent permitted, and nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Third-party content and advertising

Links to external sites and advertisements displayed on the site are provided for convenience. We do not endorse and are not responsible for third-party content, products, or services.

Any dealing you have with a marketplace, salvage yard, or advertiser you reach from this site (including payment, shipping, core charges, returns, and warranty claims) is strictly between you and them. Advertising revenue never influences the published figures.

12. Availability

We may change, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the site, including individual price pages, categories, or data series, at any time and without notice. We may also limit or block access that we reasonably believe breaches these terms or threatens the site's stability.

13. Changes

We may update these terms as the site evolves. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

The “last updated” date above always reflects the current version, so it is worth checking this page occasionally if you rely on the data in a business context.

14. General

If any provision of these terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with our privacy policy and disclaimer, are the entire agreement between us regarding your use of the site.
