Market analysis
How much does a used Subaru WRX center console cost?
Asking prices for a used Subaru WRX center console are unusually spread out: the top listing asks about 9 times what the cheapest does, so which unit you pick matters more than the median. Condition matters: grade-A units (lowest mileage, best condition) carry roughly a 10% premium over grade-B stock, with grade-A medians at $179.
Model year matters too: 2022 units carry the lowest median at $165, while 2025 tops the table at $246. Parts from 2022–2024 are interchangeable, so if the 2022 fits your vehicle, it offers the best value across 3 compatible years.
Against comparable vehicles, the Subaru WRX sits 12% below the Toyota 4Runner ($196), 28% below the Ford F250 ($239), and 17% above the Ford Edge ($148) for the same part. The “similar vehicles” cards below open each comparison guide.
Buying a used center console: what to check
- Verify shifter gate and parking brake style: Mechanical handbrake cutouts differ completely from electronic parking brake switch panels and floor-shifter surrounds.
- Inspect armrest lid hinge and latch springs: Check that the storage lid remains open independently and latches shut firmly without broken plastic catches.
- Confirm rear duct and accessory socket inclusion: Verify that internal rear passenger air channels, auxiliary USB ports, and lighter sockets remain intact under the trim.
- Check floor tunnel mounting eyelets: Cracked bolt tabs or broken snap clips along the lower base cause annoying console wobble and dash rattles.
- Match interior color and grain finish codes: Compare factory interior trim codes carefully, as sun exposure creates color mismatches between donor and recipient cabins.
