Where the Lincoln MKZ headlight assembly is listed

Market analysis

How much does a used Lincoln MKZ headlight assembly cost?

Asking prices for a used Lincoln MKZ headlight assembly are unusually spread out: the top listing asks about 5 times what the cheapest does, so which unit you pick matters more than the median.

Fitment variant moves the price more than most buyers expect. The most affordable variant we track, (adaptive headlamps), (LED signature lighting), HID, Reserve, RH, lists at a $825 median, while (adaptive headlamps), (LED signature lighting), HID, Base, LH commands $995, a 21% gap inside the same part category. Confirm which variant your VIN requires before comparing quotes.

Model year matters too: 2015 units carry the lowest median at $451, while 2017 tops the table at $969. Parts from 2013–2016 are interchangeable, so if the 2015 fits your vehicle, it offers the best value across 4 compatible years.

Against comparable vehicles, the Lincoln MKZ sits 90% above the Toyota RAV4 ($458), 118% above the Ram 1500 ($400), and 4% above the Ford Explorer ($836) for the same part. The “similar vehicles” cards below open each comparison guide.

Buying a used headlight assembly: what to check

  1. Check for lens hazing and moisture intrusion, the two most common headlight defects.
  2. Verify halogen vs HID vs LED. The same year often has multiple lighting packages.
  3. Confirm all mounting tabs are intact; broken tabs mean loose, misaimed lights.
  4. Buy in pairs when prices allow. Mismatched lens clarity is easy to spot.
